PING results
WebSitePulse.com uses PING to calculate the packet round-trip times and packet loss for the network connection to the monitored host. The PING utility will send 5-7 ICMP packets to the monitored hosts and will return the following data:
Packet Loss - shows the percentage of the packets that were not received back. A 100% packet loss normally means that the host is down or for some reason is rejecting the ICMP packets sent by our monitoring location.
Min. time - the smallest packet round-trip time.
Avg. time - the average packet round-trip time calculated from the times off all received packets.
Max. time - the highest packet round-trip time.
All times are calculated in miliseconds.
